Overview
This is a web interface to the Jabber conference tcl@tach.tclers.tk. It's an alternative to Jabber clients like TkChat, when all you've got is a browser. It's written in Tcl/Tk, uses Wub as web server and tclxmppd to connect to the Jabber conference. Icons are taken from TkChat and famfamfam. Source code for wubchain can be found here.
Wubchain has 2 modes:- Mobile mode:
- Minimise traffic
- Maximise screen use
- Manual refresh
- Optional color messages according to color set by users in TkChat
- Optional detection of emoticons and URL's
- Optional hiding of log-on / log-off messages
- Optional hiding of time stamps
- Optional list of users connected to the chat, click on a Jabber user to make the message you're typing a private message.
- Shortcuts to display full history or last 20 lines.
- Full browser mode:
- Auto-update.
- Optional color messages according to color set by users in TkChat.
- Optional detection of emoticons and URL's.
- Google selected text.
- Translate selected text.
- Optional hiding of log-on / log-off messages.
- Optional timestamps, with adjustable time zone.
- Optional list of users connected to the chat, click on a Jabber user to make the message you're typing a private message.
- Shortcuts to display full history or last 20 lines.

- /me text
- Send action text.
- /msg nick text
- Send private message text to user nick. When clicking on a nick name in the right column listing the active chatters, a /msg nick wil be insert into the edit line.
- /afk ?message?
- Set status indicator to away, with optional message.
- /xa ?message?
- Set status indicator to extended away, with optional message.
- /dnd ?message?
- Set status indicator to do not disturb, with optional message.
- /back ?message?
- Set status indicator to online, with optional message.
- /wiki page_number or search_string
- Go to the Tclers's wiki and open page page_number or search for search_string.
- /tip tip_number
- Open Tcl Improvement Proposal tip_number.
- /bug bug_id
- Open Source-Forge bug bug_id.
Background colors:
- Posts containing your username.
- Posts you made youself.
- Private posts sent by/to you.
- Posts containing a subject you specified.
- Error messages received from Jabber server.
- Headline messages.
