This is weird and doesn't seem fair.  Just because the title ends in

Starbase[http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/~john/starbase/starbase.html] is an open source database for unix.  There is a tcl package to read/write starbase data files.  The data are just ASCII tab delimited tables.
