This package is part of the [tcllib] [dns] module.

It is supposed to wrap up the [dns] package and provide
a less flexible but simpler to use interface for a programmer that just wants the ip address from a host name.
It includes caching of resolved addresses (although it ignores the time-to-live field).

Usage ''::resolv::resolve hostname'' returns the IP address.
