Matt Welsh is a systems hacker and researcher in the area of high-performance computer architecture, operating systems design, and networks. Previously at the Cornell University Robotics and Vision Laboratory in Ithaca, New York, he is spending 1996/97 working with the Cambridge Computer Laboratory and University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom. He is the author of various Linux-related works, including the book Linux Installation and Getting Started, several HOWTO documents, and articles for Linux Journal magazine.
