LV 2009-Apr-30 This book is a light weight overview of a dozen or more open source developer tools. The Tcl/Tk coverage was the only scripting language covered in any degree, I believe. There were maybe a couple dozen pages on Tk, but from what I can see, it is the only language, compiled or scripted, that one is shown a programming overview. The section is called "prototyping" and there is verbage warning the user that Tcl is really intended for gluing other applications together, that programs will be slow, etc. Also, I ran into a program "bug" in one of the early examples, and I have not yet been able to locate any errata listing around the 'net.
