Bioinformatics projects

I work in Bioinformatics and have made several applications in this field, that include a great deal of Tcl:

• GenomeComb: http://genomecomb.sourceforge.net/: a package designed for the analysis of complete genome data. It can be used to compare, annotate and especially filter the results of complete genome sequencing
• novoSNP: http://www.molgen.ua.ac.be/bioinfo/novosnp/: finding SNPs and indels in resequencing projects
• RnaViz: http://rnaviz.sourceforge.net/: for drawing RNA secundary structure models
• DCSE: http://rrna.cde.ua.ac.be/dcse/: multiple sequence alignment editor with structure information

Some as yet unreleased work or in progress

• pedviewer: a tool for managing and analysing large pedigrees
• biotcl

I also wrote some internal applications (that will probably not be released) includes

• a LIMS system using tclhttpd
• pac: automated analysis of STR genotyping

• opaque: using Tcl_Objects from Tcl

• lights: an interface to the darcs versioning system
