Policy Information Base
PIB modules are text files similar to MIB files for SNMP. They are written in the SPPI (Structure of Policy Provisioning Information) language, based largely on the SMI language used for writing MIB modules. Where MIB modules describe the structure of management information for SNMP agents, PIB modules describe interfaces for policy information available in devices implementing the COPS (Common Open Policy Service) protocol.
MIB Smithy SDK provides interfaces for loading, validating and querying properties of PIB modules and converting them to custom formats.
